Ready for reading in Grade 1

“My daughter and I have been practicing her reading all summer in preparation for grade 1. It is slow, painful and she keeps looking at my face for feedback and approval. I'm diligent, but it has been all summer and tedious with not much change (each word sounded out).

Well, yesterday I climbed up in the tree house to do her reading. She just flowed without pause or feedback except on new or long words, but did it herself. She was so shocked, she stood up without my prompting and did Pace. She then continued with a beaming heart. She has taken to the Brain Gym thanks to your teaching."
